This 3D viewer opens STL, OBJ, GLTF and GLB files directly in your browser for free, with no sign-up and no software to install. The file is parsed on your own device, so the model never leaves your computer.
Most people who receive a 3D file just want to look at it. Installing a CAD package to check one model is not worth it, and most online viewers make you create an account and upload the file to their server first. This viewer does neither: drop the file in, rotate and zoom it, and close the tab when you are done.
| Format | In-browser preview | Accepted for a print quote |
|---|---|---|
| STL (binary) | Yes | Yes — the recommended format for printing |
| STL (ASCII) | Yes | Yes |
| OBJ | Yes | Yes |
| GLTF / GLB | Yes | Yes — converted to mesh before printing |
| STEP / STP | No — engineering format, converted first | Yes |
| 3MF | No — converted first | Yes |
| ZIP / RAR of the above | No | Yes — for full-colour multi-part prints |
STEP, STP and 3MF are CAD interchange formats that browsers cannot read directly. Send them through the quote form instead: our engineers convert them, check wall thickness and send a proof before anything is printed.
Desktop CAD tools need a multi-gigabyte install, a licence and a machine that can handle them. A browser viewer opens the same mesh in seconds, works on a phone or a borrowed laptop, and is the fastest way to answer a simple question: does this model look the way it should? For buyers checking a supplier sample before placing a wholesale order, that is usually all that is needed.
When the model is right, hiketree prints it in our own factory. Upload the file and choose a material, a surface finish and a quantity; an engineer reviews printability and returns a firm quote with lead time. There is no mould to cut and no setup fee for a new design, so single units and small batches are both practical.
STL (both binary and ASCII), OBJ, GLTF and GLB open directly in the browser. STEP/STP and 3MF files are accepted for printing quotes: our engineers convert them and send back a proof before production.
No. The viewer parses the file inside your own browser, so the model never leaves your computer and nothing is stored on our side. Files are only uploaded if you choose to send them for a print quote.
Neither. The viewer runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile, and no account is required to open a file. An account is only needed to save a quote or track an order.
Files up to about 100 MB open reliably on a normal laptop. Very dense meshes may take a few seconds to load because the parsing happens on your machine, not on a server.
Yes. Rotate and zoom the model to inspect thin walls and hollow areas. Our printed-part guidelines ask for wall thickness above 1.2 mm, with no area below 0.8 mm. If something looks too thin, upload the file and we will report the issue before printing.
Yes. Open the file, confirm it looks right, then send it for a quote. You choose the material, surface finish and quantity, and an engineer comes back with a firm price and lead time.
