Funko Absolute Superman & Brainiac POP! Figures Revealed

Quick Answer: What Did Funko Reveal?

Funko has revealed two new POP! vinyl figures — an Absolute Superman figure and a Brainiac figure — both inspired by DC's Absolute Universe line of comics. The reveal was reported by Superman Super Site on 11 October 2026. Who: Funko, the US-based vinyl figure maker. What: two POP! collectibles. Where: the Absolute Universe corner of DC's publishing line. When: announced on 11 October 2026. Why it matters: it extends Funko's superhero catalogue deeper into a still-new comic continuity that retailers and collectors are actively tracking. Pricing, pre-order windows and exclusivity terms were not confirmed in the original report, so those details remain unconfirmed for now.

Why the Absolute Superman and Brainiac Drop Matters

DC's Absolute Universe reimagines its flagship heroes with altered origins and darker design language. That matters commercially: a new continuity gives licensors a fresh visual template, which in turn gives toy makers like Funko a reason to revisit characters that already sell well.

Brainiac is one of Superman's best-known adversaries, and pairing a hero figure with a villain figure is a long-standing retail pattern. It encourages two-unit purchases rather than single-unit ones — a useful detail for shops that plan assortment depth.

• Hero and villain pairing supports bundle and shelf-set merchandising.
• New continuity refreshes character designs without abandoning established names.
• Collector demand tends to spike early in a figure line's cycle, before reprints arrive.

What Buyers Should Verify Before Ordering

Because the announcement did not include commercial terms, trade buyers should confirm the following directly with suppliers rather than assuming:

• Case pack ratios and assortment mixes
• Chase or variant variants, if any
• Regional release timing and distribution rights
• Box condition standards for graded or display-grade stock

Figures in this format are typically around 10 cm tall, in line with the standard POP! scale — treat that as an estimated reference point rather than a confirmed spec.

Sourcing Superhero and Designer Toys at Wholesale

Superhero drops like this one sit alongside a broader boom in designer toys and IP collectibles. For retailers, the practical question is rarely "will it sell?" but "where can I source enough variety at a workable cost?" That is where hiketree, a global B2B designer toys and IP wholesale platform, fits in.

Through the hiketree wholesale program, buyers in the US, UK, Germany, Japan, South Korea and across Southeast Asia can access low MOQ wholesale, tiered pricing that improves with volume, and worldwide shipping. hiketree also offers OEM/ODM and custom logo services for retailers building private-label ranges.

Categories that pair well with superhero vinyl figures include stylised collectibles such as the LABUBU Jazz Figure 10cm and the THE MONSTERS Hair Salon Series - Pendant Blind Box — both aimed at the same impulse-buy and display-shelf audience. Action figure buyers can also explore the Marvel Spider-Man Action Figure 18cm for a different price tier and scale.

Building a Balanced Assortment

A resilient toy assortment usually mixes three layers: headline licensed characters, trend-driven designer figures, and lower-cost impulse items. Absolute Superman and Brainiac figures would sit in the first layer for most shops; blind boxes and stylised vinyl sit in the second and third. Balancing all three reduces the risk of a single licence underperforming in a given quarter.
