Funko NYCC 2026 Horror Reveals: Art the Clown, SIKTC

Funko's NYCC 2026 reveals are led by Art the Clown from Terrifier and characters from Something Is Killing the Children, announced in late September 2026 ahead of New York Comic Con. The lineup, reported by Dread Central, shows that licensed horror and comic IP will again anchor Funko's convention-exclusive slate. For wholesale buyers in the United States, Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia, that makes horror collectibles a category worth planning inventory around for late 2026 and early 2027.

Below is what the announcement covers, why it matters to the global collectible trade, and how retailers can source comparable designer toys and IP figures at wholesale through hiketree.

What Funko revealed for NYCC 2026

Both headline reveals come from the darker end of pop culture:

• Art the Clown (Terrifier) — the slasher character created by Damien Leone continues to expand from independent horror films into mainstream merchandise, and a Funko release gives the property one of its widest retail footprints to date.
• Something Is Killing the Children — the BOOM! Studios comic series by James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera, which has a live-action adaptation in development, joins the line as one of the most commercially successful modern horror comics.

Funko has not confirmed final pricing or production volumes for these items at the time of publication; any figures circulating online should be treated as estimated until official retail listings appear. Convention exclusives are typically produced in limited runs, which tends to raise secondary-market demand and generate early wholesale enquiries.

Why horror IP is a strong wholesale category

Horror collectibles have shifted from niche interest to core catalogue for many retailers. The drivers are structural:

• Franchise loyalty: horror fans are repeat buyers who chase complete sets rather than single items.
• Cross-market appeal: demand is consistent in the US, UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
• Event-driven peaks: comic cons such as NYCC, San Diego Comic-Con and MCM London create predictable seasonal spikes.
• Longer shelf life: licensed characters keep selling well after release, unlike trend-only novelty products.

That combination makes convention reveals a useful lead indicator for what wholesale buyers should stock six to nine months later.
