Funko Real Ghostbusters Samhain Pop! Previews at NYCC

Funko has revealed an in-box preview of its The Real Ghostbusters Samhain Pop! figure ahead of New York Comic Con (NYCC) 2026, according to a report published by Ghostbusters News on 3 October 2026. The preview shows the packaged vinyl figure based on Samhain, the Halloween-linked villain from the 1986 animated series The Real Ghostbusters. Funko has not confirmed an official release date, retail price or edition size, so those details should be treated as unconfirmed until the company announces them.

What the Samhain Pop! Preview Actually Confirms

The story is a packaging reveal rather than a full product launch. Here is the verifiable core of it:

• Who: Funko, the US-based vinyl figure manufacturer, and Ghostbusters News, the fan media outlet that published the in-box images.
• What: A Pop! vinyl figure of Samhain, the spirit villain from The Real Ghostbusters animated series.
• Where: Reported ahead of NYCC, the pop-culture convention held in New York City each October.
• When: 3 October 2026, in the run-up to the convention window.
• Why: NYCC is one of the biggest annual reveal moments for licensed pop-culture collectibles, and an in-box preview is a standard pre-show marketing step.

Details such as production quantity, chase variants and regional distribution have not been announced and are therefore unconfirmed.

Why Samhain Matters to Ghostbusters Collectors

Samhain is a recurring antagonist in The Real Ghostbusters, the animated spin-off that ran from 1986 to 1991 and expanded the franchise well beyond its two original films. Because the character is tied to Halloween, a Samhain figure lands naturally in the fourth-quarter retail window, when seasonal demand for spooky and retro-licensed goods typically peaks.

For collectors, the appeal is nostalgia-driven: animated-series characters have historically been under-represented in vinyl figure lines compared with live-action film designs. For retailers, that gap is exactly what creates sell-through potential — retro cartoon IP tends to attract both long-term collectors and gift buyers.

What the NYCC Timing Means for Wholesale Buyers

Convention reveals function as an early demand signal. When a licensed figure is previewed in October, wholesale buyers and independent toy retailers usually begin planning assortments for the following quarters. Categories that often sit alongside retro-licensed vinyl figures include art toys, blind boxes and action figures, such as the LABUBU Jazz Figure 10cm, the THE MONSTERS Hair Salon Series - Pendant Blind Box and the Marvel Spider-Man Action Figure 18cm.

Retailers sourcing licensed and designer collectibles at scale can review hiketree's wholesale program, which supports low-MOQ ordering, tiered pricing, worldwide shipping, and OEM/ODM plus custom logo services for buyers building private-label or regional assortments.
